Hi there! I'm Faye Tikic.
Faye Tikic is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Manchester UK.
Faye works within a variety of media including, illustration, paint, print, digital, film and photography.
In 2018, she received a Level 5 Diploma in Contemporary Art Practice.
In 2019 she graduated with a First-Class BA Hons Degree in Creative Media & Visual Communication.
At university, the artist came first place in multiple competitions and has since been commissioned by Stephen Evans, the lead project co-ordinator at Now-Forever Heritage Community Interest Company (NFHCIC).
This commission involved illustrating historical and contemporary landmarks for a guidebook of Northenden, Greater Manchester. The book will be published 2020 with her earning, in addition to her commission, a credit as co-author for her substantial contribution.
Throughout 2019, Faye volunteered at a variety of community-based organisations.
She supported the Wythenshawe History Group and later became its Communications and Publicity Officer.
She worked with NFHCIC, assisting guided walks and events such as Peterloo Commemoration day 2019.
Alongside this, Faye began volunteering as a director for social enterprise, Together One (Nov 2019 to June 2020) and was commissioned to design logos for a range of their community-based initiatives, these include Speaking Well, Walking Well, Creative Wells and Filming Well.
Faye is passionate about keeping public spaces open and building strong and lasting bonds with those she meets.
Alongside her community work, the artist designs home-ware and apparel while working on client commissions.
Her latest client, Mark Storey has commissioned her to design and illustrate his up-coming comic book ‘The Metahumans’.
Faye and our mapping project
Faye’s community involvement includes working in partnership with Wythenshawe Waste Warriors on Wythenshawe’s School mapping project 2020. This included designing a detailed map, a promotional poster and working with Cllr Mary Monaghan at Newall Green Primary School; guiding a mapping workshop of their local area.
In the spirit of the project, the artist has been working on an educational colouring book, illustrating Wythenshawe’s historic landmarks to inform local pupils and inspire budding artists of the future.

Her Artistic eye and expertise are a Credit and Blessing for all
We are all so grateful for Faye’s involvement in Newall Green’s mapping project. Her artistic eye and expertise have been a tremendous help and the pupils of have benefitted first hand from her workshop and talent.
The asset map Faye has produced is the perfect template for our digitised map of Wythenshawe and those looking at it will understand right away what our aims are.
This work will inspire others to add their logos on other schools maps for pupils and residents to know their local assets.
Faye has also produced a stunning body of work illustrating local historic buildings and monuments which she has compiled to create a colouring book.
Her impressions of Wythenshawe Hall and the Cromwell statue are first class and we feel honoured to be associated with her work.
We feel that she has captured perfectly the essence of Wythenshawe’s ‘Garden City’ with the green branches cascading overhead.
Faye has kindly offered sets of these images for one lucky school to win as a prize.
She has recently completed some more original artwork posters for us, funded by our partnership with Ridgeway Ltd, for The Dandelion Community Church’s Gardening Team. This piece will perfectly promote their event.
